Page 6, Column 5Howard R. Dennis, son of Charles and Minnie Dennis was born May 30, 1905 in Madison County, Iowa and passed away at Hemet Valley Hospital, Hemet, California March 6, 1988. On September 15, 1928 he was united in marriage to Audrey Atherton and to them was born one daughter, Jerene.
Howard was a farmer most of his life until ill health made it impossible but he continued to spend his summers in Iowa watching the crops grow. He was a winter visitor in California where he had his second home. In 1983 he finally became a full time resident of California due to his failing health.
His parents and one brother Floyd preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Audrey, daughter Jerene Mazzarelli of Anaheim, California; a sister, Dorothy McCulley of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandson, Jim Mazzarelli and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were conducted April 23, 1988 at McKee Funeral Home, Dexter, Iowa, with Reverend Robert Farr officiating. Interment in Dexter Cemetery, Dexter, Iowa.
