Lola Gayle Marston of Earlham died suddenly of a heart disorder at Methodist Medical Center January 14, 1988. She was the only child of Orilla Feitz and Clyde Wynkoop, born to them on May 28, 1905 in Madison County, Iowa.
Lola Gayle graduated from Earlham High School and received a teaching certificate from Iowa State Teachers College. She taught school in South Dakota and northern Iowa before becoming a farm wife in Madison County. She was active in Farm Bureau, conservation concerns, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Earlham, Eastern Star, Chautauqua and was a Master Farm Homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Gale; a son Ted of Kirkland, Washington; a daughter Barbara of Des Moines; a son Paul of rural Earlham, and one grandson, Grant of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services were conducted January 16, 1988 at the First Presbyterian Church in Earlham, Iowa, with the Reverend Andrew J. Bosman officiating. Debra Jones provided organ music and Katie Routh was soloist. Pallbearers were Vern Ahnen, Steven Daggett, Rodney Ramsey, Earl Anker, Kenneth Herring and Dwayne Scar. Interment was in Earlham Cemetery, Earlham, Iowa.
