DODGE CITY – Ross H. Sutton died at Trinity hospital here Thursday night after a short illness. Mr. Sutton was born Nov. 22, 1879 at Winterset, Ia., moved to a homestead south of Ensign in 1886. He married Lenora Bailey in July 1903. In 1914 the family moved to Ensign where Mr. Sutton built a garage and became one of the first automobile dealers in Western Kansas. The Suttons moved to Dodge City in 1946. Mrs. Sutton died May 18, 1949. Mr. Sutton was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Violet Evans, Larned and Mrs. Ruth Brady, Dodge City; one son, Edmond, Ensign and one sister, Mrs. Luella Smith, Ensign.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dodge City Methodist church with Rev. Alvin Murray and Rev. Alvin Murray and Rev. Milo Arnold officiating. Burial will be in the Ensign cemetery.
