Funeral services were held for Mrs. C. W. Hendrick, long time resident of Murray, at the Watts Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. I. R. Magers was in charge and the music was furnished by the Lion’s club quartet, composed of Ray Welker, C. W. Arnold, Harry Shields and C. H. Wetzel, with Mrs. Dwight Browning at the piano. Pallbearers were also members of the Lion’s club: Fred Franck, Robert Franck, Harry Holmes, Chas. Trumbo, Lloyd Westhafer, and H. G. Aller. The other members of the Lion’s club and their wives assembled in a body to pay tribute to the departed wife of one of their charter members. Much could be said in honor of Mrs. Hendrick, who was a loyal and willing worker in many of the social and civic activities of the community. The large array of beautiful flowers is an indication of the esteem her large circle of friends held for her and the surviving family.
