Virginia Gamble, Peru

Virginia Lee Gamble, 80, of Peru died peacefully at home Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Virginia Wambsgans.

She is survived by her children, Clifford (Sarah) Gamble of Olivehurst, Calif., Sherry (Richard) Cooper of Westminster, Colo., Terry (and the late Vicki) Gamble of Peru and MaryKay Gamble of Peru; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles (Jackie) Wambsgans of Des Moines; and sisters, Barb Harrison of Winterset and Betty (Luke) Foster of Des Moines.

Virginia was a baptized member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in each of the places she lived.

Virginia was cremated and services were held Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Kingdom Hall in Winterset.

Virginia Lee Gamble, East Peru

Virginia Lee Gamble (Wambsgans) 11/28/1936 - 9/08/2017, 80, passed peacefully at home in East Peru, IA, surrounded by her loving family, after bravely battling cancer and diabetes.

Virginia was born in Des Moines and was preceded in death by her parents Donald & Virginia Wambsgans (Jordan). She is survived by her siblings Charles & (Jackie) Wambsgans of Des Moines, IA, Barbara Harrison of Winterset, IA and Betty & (Luke) Foster of Des Moines, IA. Virginia is survived by her 5 children Clifford Gamble & (Sarah) of Olivehurst, CA, Sherry & (Richard) Cooper of Westminster, CO, Terry & (the late Vicki) Gamble of Lemoore, CA, David & (Pamela) Gamble of East Peru, IA and Mary Kay Gamble of East Peru, IA. Virginia was blessed with 12 grand-children & 8 great-grandchildren.

"Jenni Lee", as she was affectionately known, was a baptized member of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Des Moines on Watrous, as well as the congregations in Indianola and in Winterset. She was cremated.

Virginia's funeral service was held on Thursday, Sept. 14th, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Winterset, IA with 92 mourners in attendance and was officiated by Chuck Lincoln. She was loved and will be missed, R.I.P.
