Harry L. Gray Funeral Wednesday

Harry Lawrence Gray, 73, of Valley View Apartments in Winterset, died Saturday, February 24, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 28 at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was in the St. Charles Cemetery with Rev. Byron Ayers officiating.

Mr. Gray was born on November 11, 1905 in Madison County and was the son of Charles E. and Harriet Louise Rhyno Gray. On November 7, 1943 he was married to Zella M. Lynch in Winterset.

Mr. Gray was a lifetime resident of Madison County and lived in Winterset since November of 1978. A retired farmer, he was a member of the St. Charles Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife; a brother, Fred O. Gray of Rockport, Texas; two sisters, Harriet L. Smith of Winterset and Edna Mae Herzog of Melbourne, and two nephews, Ernest R. Gray, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona and Richard W. Gray of Worthington, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
