BETTY MACUMBER , Missouri

Betty Lucile Macumber, 91, of Joplin, Mo., died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Freeman Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Winterset, Iowa

Betty was born Dec. 19, 1925, in Winterset, Iowa, to Arthur Ruben Strong and Hattie Rhodes Strong. She married Theodore Guile Macumber on Oct. 22, 1944, in Winterset. Betty worked in the Madison County Auditor's Office. She also worked at Look Magaine as a proofreader and at the Winterset School District.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat (Jack) Leutzinger of Joplin, Mo., Peggy (Jim) Adam of Seguin, Texas; two grandaughters , Casssie Leutzinger of Bradenton, Fla., and Sarah (Bill) Westerhouse of Kansas City, Mo.; sister Ethelee Dixon of Valatie, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
