PHYLLIS KARNS KALE, Des Moines, Ia

Phyllis Karns Kale, 82, Des Moines, IA, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 in Des Moines.

Survivors include husband Boyd Kale, son Hugh Kale, grandsons Justin & Alex Kale, and brother Ray Karns. Preceding her in death were son Lee Kale in 1981, parents Charles & Mildred (Eivins) Karns, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Phyllis was last employed at Farmland Insurance in data processing. At home she liked doting on her family, especially cooking and baking homemade rolls and cookies. When the weather was right you would find her outside fishing and walking.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, March 4, 2017, 2 to 4 pm, at Grace Church, 4200 E. 25th, Des Moines, IA 50317. Inurnment will be at a later date in Young Cemetery, Madison County, Truro, IA.
