Page 22St. Marys--Mrs. Helen C. Mallam, 92, St. Marys, died shortly after arrival at a Manhattan hospital Tuesday.
She was born April 27, 1877 at Winterset, Iowa and Lived at Manhattan 34 years before she moved to St. Marys seven months ago. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Manhattan.
Her husband, Richard M. Mallam, died in 1938.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Mallam, Manhattan, and Charles P. Mallam, Springfield, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ellis and Mrs. Fayra Casebeer, both of St. Marys, and Mrs. Lela Manley, Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Courser Funeral Home, Manhattan. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Manhattan.
________________________Transcriber's note: Helen was born in Winterset to Abel and Caroline Choate, and was married to her first husband, Fayette Bissell in Madison county, Iowa December 31, 1895.
