Dexter: A memorial service was held Wednesday, at the Evans-McKee Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Evelsizer for Lawrence (Bus) Cox, who died August 3.

Casket bearers were Tom Jobe, Larry Mitchell, Harry Stegall, Mike Tuttle, Clayton Holstrom and Gary Tuttle. Interment was in Dexter cemetery.

Lawrence Cox, son of Ira and Hannah Blohm Cox, was born July 17, 1920, and passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 3, 1975, after a long illness.

Lawrence attended rural schools in Penn Township and graduated from Earlham High School. As a boy, he joined the Early Chapel Christian Church.

He is survived by a daughter Jean (Mrs. Larry Feller) near Redfield, two grandchildren, his parents, three sisters: Margaret Stegall of Dexter, Christine Mitchell of Council Bluffs, and Ramona Tuttle of Alma, one brother, George of Des Moines, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at McKee Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Evelsizer officiating. The nephews of Lawrence Cox were casket bearers. Interment was in the Dexter Cemetery.
