SERVICES FOR MRS. MOORE HELD TUESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Moore of Sharpsburg, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church. Burial was in the Lenox cemetery beside her husband, Lafe Moore.

Amanda Luella Brown, daughter of Jacob and Hannah Brown was born in Madison County, Ia., January 20, 1858 and died at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 11 days.

She spent her early life in Madison county. At the age of 16 she was baptized and united with the S. D. A. church.

In 1879 she was married to Lafayette Moore. To them were born three sons, Frank of Boulder, Colo., Ora of Lincoln, Nebr., and Fred of Kent, Ia., and one daughter, Nettie Luella.

Her husband died in February 1937 and since that time she has made her home with her niece and husband, J. W. Davis at Sharpsburg.

Beside her children, she is survived by five grandchildren, one brother, B. F. Brown of Sharpsburg, one half-brother, Madison Brown of Sioux City and a host of other relatives and friends.
