MORTUARY

Layton E. Lamb was born in Page county, Virginia 42 years ago and his earthly journey came to an end on Jan. 18, 1923. He spent his early boyhood in Virginia, coming to Iowa when nine years of age. After reaching manhood he spent some years in New Mexico, Virginia and Missouri. About two years ago, he returned to Iowa where he lived until his death. He united with the Christian church while yet in young manhood.

He leaves to hold him in cherished memory the mother, two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Mabbitt and Mrs. L. L. Pierson and one brother W. S. Lamb. Other more distant relatives and a goodly circle of warm hearted friends also cherish his memory.

Funeral services were conducted from the home south of Winterset on Friday afternoon by Rev. E. P. Chancellor. Burial in Winterset cemetery.
