Uncle Mike Gabbert died at two a.m. Wednesday morning, March 29th at his home four miles southeast of Earlham as a result of a general collapse of vital forces. At the above date he was 88 years, 10 months and 29 days old. Thus passes another of the old settlers who have seen Earlham rise from an area of wilderness.

The funeral occurred Thursday, March 30th, at Fairview church.-----Earlham Echo
