Sam Caldwell, who had surgery last week at a Davenport hospital, suffered a heart attack Sunday, and passed away Thursday. The funeral was Monday, September 10th at 2:00 p.m.

Booneville-Lee

Samuel Caldwell, son of Alice and Rodney Caldwell, was born October 3, 1882 a mile and one-half south of Booneville in Dallas County and spent all of his life in and around Booneville except the past year which he spent with his brother Dewey at Davenport.

He passed away September 5, 1962 at a Davenport hospital at the age of 80 years. He leaves a brother Edd of Moran, Dewey of Davenport and Dick of Booneville.

Funeral services were held at Fisher Funeral home in Van Meter, Monday Sept. 10 with burial at Union Chapel cemetery.
