Services Saturday For Fern Linsley

Fern Marie Linsley of Truro died Thursday, July 24, at Northwest Community Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 80. Born on June 1, 1900, at Minburn in Dallas County, she attended country schools near Minburn. On Feb. 9, 1921, she was united in marriage to J. Harry Linsley at Minburn, and her husband survives her.

Also surviving are five children, Bonnie Allen of Murray, Bette Wall of East Troy, Wis., Art Linsley of Indianola, Harry Keith Linsley of Big Rapids, Mich., and Rex Linsley of Greenfield, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Laverne Brenton of Charles City; and a sister, Gladys VerPloeg of Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, a brother and one grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the United Methodist Church in Truro with Rev. George Campbell officiating. Burial was at the Ebenezer Cemetery near Truro.
