CHARLEY PEEL DROPS DEAD

Asthma and Heart Trouble Cause of Death—Was Man Past Middle Age

Death took another well known citizen of this city about 1:30 this afternoon. Charley Peel, a long time resident of this city, dropped dead in front of the Clark Grocery on the north side of the square at 1:30 this afternoon. Mr. Peel had been a victim of heart trouble and asthma for several years and this is thought to be the immediate cause of his death. He was apparently feeling as well as usual today.

It will be remembered that some time ago Mr. Peel fell from a wagon, breaking his arm. The bones never healed and Mr. Peel has been in very poor health since that time.

Two doctors, Leffert and Wheel, Jr. were called and the body of Mr. Peel was taken to the Comley and Beckner undertaking parlors.

The deceased is survived by a wife and nine children, six boys and three girls, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements and obituary will be published later.
