OBITUARY

Mollie Ralston Ramsay

Mollie Ralston, daughter of John and Harriet Ralston was born August 23, 1862 in Madison county, Iowa and died March 21, 1929 at the hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa.

She and a sister lived their early life with their parents near Winterset, Iowa. She attended high school at Winterset and the Associate Presbyterian College in Bloomfield, Ohio. In 1884 she came with her parents where she lived with them and cared for them both until their death.

She was united in marriage to Ed I. Ramsay August 23, 1905. After the death of her father she and her husband moved to Chicago where they lived for eight years, returning to their old home in Albia in 1925.

Her sister, Emma Cresswell, preceded her in death October 15, 1911. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Ed I. Ramsay of this city; two nieces, Mary C. McKissick of Minneola, Kansas and Ruth B. Cresswell of Chicago, Illinois; two nephews, John R. Cresswell and Kenneth C. Cresswell, both of Chicago, Illinois.

She was a member of Chapter II, of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Presbyterian church until the time of her death.

The funeral services were conducted at the First Presbyterian church of Albia, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, by Rev. C. M. Glick. The P.E.O. chapter of which Mrs. Ramsay was a member was represented in a body. The interment was in Oak View cemetery.
