PHYLLIS JEAN VOLL, Adel

1926 - 2016

Phyllis Jean Voll, 90, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Adel Acres in Adel, Iowa. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, December 16, at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Phyllis, daughter of Pearl and Leotis (Kennedy) Wagner was born on January 13, 1926 in Sheffield, Iowa.

Phyllis lived in Hardin County during her childhood and for several years after her marriage to Kenneth G. Voll on December 9, 1944. In the early 1950’s, Kenneth and Phyllis moved their family to the Osceola, Iowa area to farm. They later moved to the Lorimor, Iowa area where they spent the rest of their married life.

Phyllis was a housekeeper and laundry aid at the Hickman Motor Lodge in Urbandale, Iowa for several years.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Harold Voll of Pomona, CA, David (Wanda) Voll of DeSoto, and Edward (Pam) of Redlands, CA; daughter-in-law, Pat Voll of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Wagner of Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Jim Voll, brothers, Earl and Henry Wagner; and sisters, Dorothy Eilers and Wanda Rosine.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Adel Acres Activity Fund, Faith Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Midwest.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley Funeral Home in Adel.
