Mortuary

This community feels deeply the loss of Daniel B. Pinckney, who departed this life Thursday, April 1, 1926. He was born in Henry county, Illinois, February 18, 1865, being 61 years, 1 month and 13 days old.

He came to Iowa at the age of 4 years with his parents, and has been a resident of Madison county since that time, except one year when he lived in Hebron, Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Miss Haskell, Easter Sunday, March 25, 1894.

He leaves to mourn his loss, a loving wife; two devoted children, Cleo of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ernest of Menlo, Iowa; four grandchildren; four brothers; one sister; nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.

Brother Pinckney had not united with the church although he was a regular attendant, a lover of the Christ and a model neighbor.

He was the sixth of a family of eleven children and was preceded in death by his father, mother, three brothers and two sisters.

He was for many years a member of the Masonic Order of Free Masons until the lodge building was destroyed by fire.

He was a man of exceptionally high ideals and quick discernment of right and wrong.

The funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the M. E. church in Macksburg by the Rev. A. R. Weed of Orient, Iowa, assisted by the Rev. Athey of Macksburg, Iowa.

Interment was made in the Macksburg cemetery.
