Marjorie Anna (Jensen) Cade, age 90, passed away peacefully at Ramsey Village in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8 at Iles Westover Chapel in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 9 at Faith Lutheran Church, 602 S. 14th St., Adel. Following a luncheon at the church, interment will be at Fairview Cemetery south of De Soto.
Marjorie was born at the family home south of De Soto on September 9, 1926 to Julius and Marie (Thomsen) Jensen. She graduated from De Soto Consolidated School in 1943 and later from Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines. On March 12, 1950 she was united in marriage to Virgil Cade of De Soto. They were blessed with two children.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Jim (Connie) Cade of Urbandale; her daughter, Jean (Eduard) Zell of Des Moines; and her granddaughter, Sarah (Drew) Randol of Grimes. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985 and her brother, Harold Jensen.
Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Lutheran Church, Adel.
