Robert 'Bob" Bruce Foland, son of Eldon Johnny Foland and Ruby Estell (Baker) Foland was born February 20, 1930 in Torrington, Wyoming and passed from this life Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Westbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center in Winterset, Iowa at 86 years of age.
Bob grew up in the Grand River area and graduated from Grand River high School in 1948. He was united in marriage to Baunadine Perry on August 26, 1950 in Grand River, Iowa and five children blessed this union, Myron, Rodney, Craig, Brian and Bonnie.
Bob was a very hard working and loving family man. He worked for several farmers in the Grand River and Thayer areas before purchasing his own farm south of Thayer. He farmed for many years before retiring in 1985 when he sold the farm and moved to Lorimor. He was an Archer Oil Dealer for over 45 years. He always enjoyed tinkering with machines and small engines, working on lawn mowers and chainsaws. He delivered the Sunday Des Moines Register and the Creston News Advertiser. He loved his family and always enjoyed getting together to play Canasta, and everyone knew they could always find a piece of candy in his pocket.
Those relatives who preceded Robert in death were his son, Myron Foland, son, Rodney Foland, brother, Richard Foland, brother-in-law, Don Driskill, sister-in-law, Carolyn Romero, brother-in-law, Freddy Perry; parents Johnny and Ruby Foland.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 66 years, Baunadine Foland of Lorimor, IA, son, Craig (Julie) Foland of Bedford, IA, son, Brian (Carmen) Foland of Murray, IA, daughter, Bonnie (Mike) Decker of Lorimor, IA; grandchildren, Eric (Melinda) Foland of Afton, IA, Bruce (Heather) Foland of Osceola, IA, Dawn (James) Petrik of Osceola, IA, Dillon (Peyten) Decker of Lorimor, IA, Sarah Brown of Des Moines, IA, great grandchildren, Trevor Henry, Daniel Giles, Rylee Petrik, Owen Petrik, Mason Petrik, Reece Petrik, Tysen Decker, Maya Decker, and Marcy; sisters-in-law, Marge Foland of Phoenix, AZ, Louise Driskill of Murray, IA, Katie (Mike) Kelly of Illinois, and Linda (Jack) Williams of Des Moines, IA, several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and many friends.

Visitation: Dec 6 - 5:00 pm - 7 pm , Kale Funeral Home, Osceola
