Dr. McKendree Miller died suddenly at his home on Wednesday morning. He had been confined to the house for a few weeks, and had been weaker for a few days, but had not complained of feeling worse than usual. Funeral services will be held at Ramsey’s undertaking parlors on Friday afternoon at two o’clock.

Dr. Miller has lived here for nearly 37 years, coming from Illinois. He was a son of the late “Father” Miller, so well known to the Methodists of Madison county. Of the original family, three brothers are left: John of Kansas, William of Nebraska, James of California.

Of Dr. Miller’s own family, two daughters and one son survive. To them goes the sympathy of their many old friends.

FINAL SUMMONS FOR DR.McK MILLER

Dr. McK Miller, forty years a resident of Winterset, died at his home yesterday. For four or five years he has been in feeble health and unable to work. The funeral will be held at Ramsay’s undertaking parlors tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Dr. Miller came to Winterset a few years after his father who was a well known Methodist minister. He is survived by his three children, Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Buchanan, and Bert and his wife. Dr. Miller during his active years took a great interest in the city and county affairs.

McKendree Miller

McKendree Miller, son of Rev. G. W. Miller, was born in Illinois, October 181847. Was married in Galesburg, Illinois, November 22nd, 1875 to Maimee Clark.

He died at his home in Winterset, Iowa, january 16, 1924. His wife, three children and three brothers survive him.
