JUDY RENEE (HARRIS) HOUG, Norwalk, Ia

Judy Renee Houg, age 58, entered into rest peacefully on Sunday morning, October 16, 2016 at Regency Nursing Home in Norwalk.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 20th with a visitation with the family 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 19th at O'Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk.

Judy Renee, the daughter of Jack and Beverly Harris, was born January 17, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Des Moines alongside her siblings, Sharon, Jack, Michael, and David. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1976.

Judy worked at Standard Oil Credit Card Services in West Des Moines where she met the love of her life, Steven Houg. They were married on August 16, 1980 at the Norwalk United Methodist Church, and to this union had two sons, Justin and Jeffrey. Together they made their home in rural Madison County, Iowa. She is a member of Harvest Community Church in Cumming. She enjoyed camping, bicycling, Bible word search puzzles. Judy enjoyed collecting elephants accumulating more than 1000 in various styles, shapes, sizes and colors.

On Sunday morning, October 16, 2016, Judy entered into rest peacefully at Regency Nursing Home in Norwalk. She lived 58 years, 8 months, and 29 days.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Steven; two sons, Justin (Leah) and Jeffrey (Bonnie); three grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, and Rhett; her father, Jack Harris, Sr.; a sister, Sharon Wrigley; three brothers, Jack Harris, Jr. (Jana), Michael Harris, and David Harris; a sister-in-law, Diana Yarges; and a brother-in-law, Don Houg.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday Oct 20. A visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 at O'Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk.
