The death of a well known man in the community occurred on Tuesday morning, when Patrick Callahan, for many years section boss on the Rock Island at Winterset, died at his home east of town.

Mr. Callahan was a man of many friends and a character of much originality. He was pensioned by the railroad company for his long and faithful services. His funeral will occur tomorrow.
