Mrs. Wesley Bumbarger of St. Charles, a life-time resident of Madison and Warren counties, died last Thursday, June 14, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 84 years of age.

Mrs. Bumbarger was born in Madison county Sept. 20, 1886. She was the former Villa Mae Black, daughter of Rila and Sarah Sowders Black. She was married to Wesley Bumbarger at Osceola on Feb. 19, 1906. They were the parents of four children. One daughter, Chleo, preceded the mother in death.

She was a member of the Christian church.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Garnetta Shutt of St. Charles; two sons, Wayne Bumbarger of St. Charles and Arnold Bumbarger of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Ora Black of St. Charles.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the St. Charles Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Tom Foglesong of Des Moines. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
