Stacy Rundlett, Waukee

Stacy (Cain) Rundlett, born in Des Moines, Iowa, passed away due to complications from cancer, peacefully, surrounded by close family and loved ones on the morning of Friday, September 9, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Ernst Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at St Patrick's Irish Settlement in Cumming, Iowa on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.

Stacy grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 1986. She continued her education at Des Moines Area Community College. Stacy's life was filled with a passion for scrapbooking, crafting, and a tremendous love for animals.

She is survived by Tim Rundlett, Nick Cain, Don Cain, Clare Cain, Mary DouBrava, Gary DouBrava, Nick Rundlett, Kristen Picket, and four grandchildren.

Stacy was adored by her family and friends. Most recently, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her goddaughter and niece, Maria, we know Stacy will continue to watch over her. She will always be remembered for her kind-hearted nature and her determined spirit.

Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the Animal Lifeline of Iowa (animal-lifeline.com) so that her lifelong love for animals may endure.
