News of Interest from St. Charles

L. A. Bright, an old and highly respected citizen of St. Charles, passed away on June 9th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Sones in Indianola, where he had made his home the past two years. He was 84 years of age and had lived many years in St. Charles, only going to his daughters home when he could no longer care for himself.

He is survived by a son Roy of Spokane, Wash. and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Sones of Indianola. Another son, Floyd, passed away some years ago, also three grandchildren, and a brother at Nora Springs, Iowa survive.

Rev. Reed Kessler conducted the funeral services in the Methodist church in St. Charles Monday afternoon and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
