FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN MISSOURI

Annabelle Fleming Rhodes Succumbs at Age of 76 Years

Mrs. Annabelle Fleming Rhodes, a former resident of this community, died Wednesday of last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wilford Patterson, at Jasper, Mo. She was 76 years of age.

Mrs. Rhodes was born at South English on Feb. 9, 1870, the daughter of John and Rhoda Allen. In 1887 she was married to John Fleming. They were the parents of six children, one daughter, Hazel preceding the mother in death.

Mrs. Rhodes had united with the Methodist church as a girl.

She is survived by five children, Harley Fleming, and Vera Fleming of Des Moines, Floyd Fleming of Winterset, Mrs. Jesse Hubbs of Colton, Calif., and Mrs. Patterson of Jasper. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Kelly of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Mae Morgan of Waterloo, and a brother Homer Allen of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made in the Clark cemetery.
