Death of J. S. Hylton

Jas. S. Hylton died at his home in Des Moines yesterday morning, his death following an illness of six months. In February, he had a severe illness with the flue, complications resulting which resulted in his death.

Funeral services will be held at the home at ten o’clock Thursday and burial will be made at New Virginia.

The surviving members of the family are the wife, two sons, Dale and Orville, and three daughters, the latter two residing in Des Moines.

For many years, Mr. Hylton was engaged in the implement and grain business at Lorimor and Peru and later became associated with the business interests in the Hylton-Wilson Grain Company and was at times engaged in the general merchandise business at De Soto and Norwalk. He was regarded as an upright successful business man and had many warm friends in the county.
