Ira Brown, aged 68, of Osceola, died Saturday, Nov. 20, in Winterset where he was stricken with a heart attack.
A physician was called and was in attendance when Mr. Btown died.
The body was taken to a funeral home in Osceola.

Page 5, Column 5Ira Elmer Brown, son of Chas. and Rose Maxson Brown, was born in Fulton county, Illinois, Sept. 28, 1886 and departed this life at Winterset, Iowa, Nov. 20, 1954, age 68 years.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Campbell at Afton, Ia., April 3, 1914. To this union 10 children were born.
Those left to mourn their loss are his widow, Margaret of Osceola; the children, Dale Simpson of Harcourt, Charles Brown of Osceola, Elmer Brown of Lorimor, Raymond Brown of Macksburg, Jessie Brown of Osceola, Mrs. Clara Lewis of Osceola, and Robert Brown of Lorimor. Besides these there are 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three half-brothers, Glen Driver of Lucas, Bill Driver of Osceola and Jess Driver of Alton; two half-sisters, Florence Nelson of Lucas and Ida Smith of Osceola; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, three children, one brother, Leroy, and one half-sister Ethel Driver.
Services were held at Webster funeral home Tuesday, November 23 at 2:00, Rev. Azel L. Smith officiating. Burial was at Macksburg cemetery.
