Mrs. August Burger, formerly of McBride post office in this county, died of heart disease last Friday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jones, in this place. A most worthy woman is taken from among us by her death.

Since leaving McBride, Mr. and Mrs. Burger have resided at Des Moines, and at the time of her death. Mrs. Burger, who has long been in poor health, was with her sister in Winterset. She had written a letter the same day to her husband at Des Moines, telling him that she was improving in health.

The funeral took place on Monday, the services being in charge of Rev. T. W. Howard, of the Christian church.
