ROBERT JACKSON OF CHICAGO DIES

Had Been Visiting Relatives Near Winterset for Past Month

Robert F. Jackson of Chicago, who had been visiting relatives near Winterset for the last month, died last Friday at the home of his brother, Thomas Jackson. He was 69 years of age, and had been an invalid for the last 13 years.

Robert Fielding Jackson was a member of a well known Madison county family. He was born at Waltham, Ill., on June 30, 1880, but came to Madison county as a young man and farmed near Winterset until 1904. The next four years he spent in the U.S. navy, after which he returned to Madison county for a year before moving to Chicago, where he was in the garage business for many years.

Mr. Jackson was married June 26, 1912 in Chicago to Cecelia M. Schwartz of that city, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Robert Jackson of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Brown of Wheaton, Ill., his brother, Thomas Jackson of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. George Frey of Winterset and Mrs. Russell Poole of Swanington, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Winterset, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. J. J. Judge. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
