WILLIAM MARTIN DIES

(St. Charles—Special)

William Martin, 80, passed away Tuesday evening, April 12th at the home of his son, Herbert in St. Charles. He lived many years on his farm in the Blair Chapel neighborhood before coming to St. Charles several years ago where his wife died shortly after. For several years he had made his home with Mrs. Kate Houston, going with her when she moved to Martensdale last spring, and coming here to the home of his son about ten days before his death. He was highly respected by all who knew him.

Surviving are his two sons, Herbert and Gordon Martin both of St. Charles and several grandchildren.

Rev. Hile of the Christian church conducted his funeral services Thursday afternoon at the Christian church and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
