Relatives received word here Monday of the death of E. M. Edwards of Red Oak. Funeral services were conducted there Wednesday and burial made here in the Hartman cemetery.

Ervin M. Edwards Rites Were Held

Services for Ervin M. Edwards, 82, Red Oak carpenter since 1918,, were held at the Perryman Chapel Wednesday, Aug, 3, at 10 a.m. He died Monday, Aug. 1 in Murphy Memorial hospital after a two-week illness.

Rev. Asa Popp officiated. Bearers were Raymond Dado, James Fryrear, W. O. Blue, Irvin Most, Floyd Jones and George Bennett. Burial was in Hartman cemetery, Truro.

Born in Jefferson county, Iowa, June 3, 1867, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse W. Edwards. He married Hattie B. Garst in Winterset Aug. 26, 1896.

He lived in Osceola for 15 years after leaving Jefferson county and came to Red Oak in September 1918. He was a member of the Christian church at Truro.

Survivors include his wife in Red Oak, a son, Ross M. of Red Oak, two sisters, Mrs. Rilla Richardson of Osceola and Mrs. Della Foglesong, of Lancaster, Mo., a grandson Lyle Ross Edwards, of Red Oak.
