Jack P Kinney

Jack P. Kinney, son of Jesse Samuel "Jack" Kinney and Wanda Shirley (Pritchard) Kinney was born April 2, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at 70 years of age following a lengthy battle with leukemia.

He received his education in Bondurant-Farrar High School graduating in 1964. Following graduation, Jack served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Jack was united in marriage to Carol Mally on April 2, 1966 in Ft. Carson, CO and this union was blessed with three daughters, Teresa, Ronda and Vicki. Carol passed away after a lengthy battle with breast cancer in 2006. In 2013, Jack began a new chapter in his life and married Cheryl Foura on April 20 at McDonald's Pond near St. Charles, IA.

Jack greatly enjoyed farming and worked for many years as a sign foreman for Madison County Secondary Roads. He was active in 4-H and was a leader of the local Ohio Future Feeders. Jack has mentored many youngsters in the community and leaves a legacy of expertise in feeding, raising, and grooming show cattle. In addition, Jack was involved with the Interstate 35 Schools Athletic Booster Club, cheering on the Roadrunners well beyond the years his daughters had graduated. Lastly, Jack served as the kitchen foreman each year during Holy Week services held at the St. Charles Parish. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, manicuring his yard, gardening and was well-known in the community to help anyone who might need assistance.
