LOUISE FAYE SWIFT
(February 22, 1922 - February 29, 2016)

Louise Faye Swift, 94 of Waukee, who was born on February 24, 1922 in Van Meter, IA passed away on February 29, 2016 in Adel, IA. Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, both at Ernst Funeral Home, Waukee. Interment to follow at Union Chapel Cemetery.

Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was always hard working, usually holding two jobs at a time. Her last job before retiring was at Preferred Risk as a head cook. After retirement, she worked part time for the Waukee School District in food service. She loved spending time with her family and friends and always tried to make the best out of every situation. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her special recipes with others and through the years she developed a serious sweet tooth. Her other favorite hobbies were crocheting, watching Iowa and Iowa State basketball games, and crafts. She loved playing cards and was a fierce competitor. She was also an animal lover who over the years owned many pets.

She is survived by her son Larry (Polly) Brandt, 6 grandchildren Shawn (Julie) Nordgren, Chad (Sara) Carlson, Amanda (Stratton) George, Jessica (Derek) Canute, Jesse (Talli) Ramey, Nick (Katie) Brandt and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Gary Brandt, her twin sister Lucille Stephenson and her parents Jesse and Janie Sheets.
