Daniel W. Abrams.

Daniel W. Abrams, son of John and Mary Abrams, was born in Ohio, March 14, 1841, departed this life in the Osceola, Iowa, August 12, 1926, being at the time of his death 85 years and 5 months. He was United in marriage June 4, 1863, to Mary C. Haner, to this union was born eight children, four preceding him in death. He came to Iowa with his parents when a small boy settling in Keokuk county, later moving to Clarke county where he spent the remainder of his days. He served his country during the Civil War with Company I, 15th regiment Iowa infantry.

He united with the M. P. church 30 years ago remained faithful to his church through these years.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary C. Abrams, four children Mrs. Mary Bigsby, of Osceola, Henry Abrams of Lewellen, Neb., David J. Abrams, Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mrs. Della Heck, Minneapolis, Minn., ten living grandchildren; nine living great-grandchildren, besides a host of friends and acquaintances.

Services were conducted by Rev. B. E. Williamson from the M. P. Church, Saturday, August 14th, and interment made in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Transcriber's note: In his earlier years, besides living in Keokuk County, the deceased also lived in Madison County and in Montgomery County per the 1870 and 1880 censuses.
