Mark Hart, 61, of Winterset died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Madison County Health Care System in Winterset.

There are no services currently planned, as per Mark’s request. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and online condolences may be left at ochiltree.com.

Mark Alan Hart, son of Forrest and Genevieve (Ross) Hart, was born May 14, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended schools in the Des Moines area and graduated from Valley High School in 1972. Mark was united in marriage with Sharon Connelly on August 21, 1982 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset.

He worked most recently at Windsor Window in Des Moines. Mark enjoyed woodworking and making crafts for craft shows. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and listening to rock music. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Western TV shows, especially Saddle Up Saturdays. Above all else, Mark was a loving husband, father and friend who cherished the time he was able to spend with his wife and son, Scott.

Mark is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharon Hart of Winterset; son, Scott Hart of Winterset; brothers, Steve, Mike, Doug and Leo Hart; sister, Sue Eckstein; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sue Reineck.
