DAVID NOEL BEEDE, West Des Moines, Ia

David Noel Beede, son of Owen Russell Beede and Alice Lou Myers Greenman was born July 10, 1943 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 72 years of age.

David's father died at Iwo Jima when David was an infant. His mother married Wilbur L. Greenman and David always called Wilbur "Dad". David graduated from St. Charles High School and later Drake University.

David worked as a Insurance Agent for Church Mutual. He has lived in Des Moines and West Des Moines for many years.

His greatest love was racing and he had worked at the Knoxville Raceway for over 40 years, mostly in the infield and driving the courtesy car for drivers family's. He enjoyed attending the Indy 500 and followed Drake basketball. He was a member of the Masons.

Those relatives who preceded David in death were his father, Owen and his dad Wilbur L. Greenman.

David leaves to cherish his memory; son, Mike Beede of West Des Moines, Iowa; mother, Alice Lou Greenman of Saint Charles, Iowa, and Erica Wallukait of West Des Moines, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for a memorial brick at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame or the Knoxville Raceway Charitable Organization
