Thomas Pace was born in Albemarle co., Va., October 10, 1811 and died at his home in Lincoln twp., Madison Co. Ia., February 19, 1905, being at the time of his death, 94 years 4 months and 10 days old. He was the father of eight children, three of whom survive him.

He moved from Virginia to Ohio in 1850 and to Iowa in 1855 and to Madison county in 1871. He was a miller by occupation and operated mills in different parts of Madison county. He married in 1830 to Miss Mary Payne.

Mr. Thos. Pace, one of the oldest, if not the oldest citizen of this county, died in Lincoln township, last Sunday morning. He was born in Albermarle county, Va., in 1811, consequently was ninety-four years old. He removed to this state in the early 50’s. Three children survive him. We will publish his obituary next week.

Obituary

Thomas Pace was born Oct. 10th, 1811, in Albeinale county, Virginia, died in Lincoln township, Madison county, Ia., Feb. 19th, 1905, age 94 years, 4 months and 11 days.

He was married to Miss Nancy Payne in 1830. Eight children were born to them, three of whom survive him; also fourteen grand-children. He came from Virginia to Ohio in 1850 and to Iowa in 1855, moved to Madison county in 1871, which has been his home since that time. He was a miller by trade. Thus along and active life has closed.
