Mrs. Jacobs who was Miss Susanna Lint was born in Elkhart, Indiana and died at Stroud, Oklahoma on December 5th, being her 68th birthday.

She was married to Nicholas Jacobs in Des Moines, February 17th 1853. To them was born thirteen children, five of them are now living. Four children and three grandchildren were with her when she died. She leaves a mother 96 years old.

The residence of the children are as follows: Mrs. Minnie Bowles, Barney, Mrs. Rose Bettin, Donald, Minn., Mrs. Alice Bennett, Stroud, Okla., Edward Jacobs, Calidonia, la., Lewis Jacobs, Ringold, la.

She was buried from the Church of Christ at Barney. (burial at Barney Cemetery)

Rev. Berry, of Winterset, was called to this place to preach the funeral sermon of Mrs. Jacobs, who died in Oklahoma and was brought here for burial.

Obituary

Obituary of Mrs. Jacobs, who was Miss Susanna Lint, was born in Elkhart, Ind., Dec. 5th, 1836, died at Stroud, Okla., Dec. 5th, 1904, being her 68th birthday. She was married to Nicholas Jacobs in Des Moines, Ia., Feb. 17th, 1853. To them were born 13 children, 5 of whom are now living, 4 children and 3 grandchildren were with her at the time of her death. She leaves a mother 96 years old, well and hearty.

Mrs. Jacobs was converted young in life, and united with the church, she had lived an earnest Christian life, and was ready to meet her Lord.

The residences of the children are as follows: Mrs. Minnie Bowles, Barney, Ia., Mrs. Rosa Cettin, Donald, Minn., Mrs. Alice Bennett, Stroud, Okla., Mr. Edward Jacobs, Caledonia, Ia., Mr. Lewis Jacobs, Ringgold, Ia. She was buried from the Church of Christ, Barney, Ia. Services were conducted by Pastor Berry, of Winterset.
