Rosemary Rene (Daly) Devine, born June 16, 1928 in Valley Junction, Iowa passed away peacefully Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Winterset South Care Center.
Rosemary graduated from Valley High School and continued her education to Drake University, where she earned her B.S. in Business. Rosemary retired from the State of Iowa Board of Medical Examiners where she enjoyed working for many years.
Rosemary married Wayne Devine on May 6, 1950. Rosemary will be remembered for her attention to detail, classy style, and sharp wit. She was a woman that enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge. Rosemary enjoyed the outdoors when possible; she loved admiring her horses, watching for deer, or just taking strolls.
Rosemary was born to John Earl and Mary Louisa (Sturdivant) Daly. She is survived by her two sons, Edward and William (Shawna) of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Justin and Jacob Devine; brother, Bill (Margaret) Daly; sister, Carol Ann and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 5 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 12 at Iles Westover Chapel with funeral services on Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Orilla, Iowa.
