Gary Scott Clark

Gary Scott Clark of St. Charles, Iowa passed Saturday, July 18th. He was born on July 4, 1958 to Herbert and Mary Clark, and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1976. Gary will be remembered by many as a talented drag bike racer who won four World Championships and a self-taught engineer/mechanic. In the past several years he built the chassis for drag bikes under the name of Clark Chassis. He enjoyed riding his two horses, sitting on his porch to soak in the beauty of his remote acreage, and always having his golden retriever, Ziggy, by his side.

He is survived by his son Sheldon Clark (Marcela) of Redmond, Washington, his mother Mary Clark of Pleasantville, Iowa, and sisters Cathy Zachariasen (Ron) and Vicki Clark of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His family and friends will miss his big heart, determination, and laugh.

A service will be held Thursday, July 23, 5:30pm, at St. Charles Parish, St. Charles, Iowa. Visitation at 5:00pm and a light supper in the Church Fellowship Hall, directly following the service.

Memorial funds will go to Kavanagh Hospice House and other charities.
