December 14, 1943 - June 8, 2015

Patricia M. Lyddon, 71, of Montezuma, died Monday, June 8, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer at the Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.

A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Ochiltree Funeral Service and Aftercare in Winterset, where the family will be present to receive friends during this time. A funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Ochiltree Funeral Service with burial to follow in the Penn Center Cemetery near Earlham.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Patricia Lyddon, daughter of Arthur and Clera (Waiete) Layeux, was born December 14, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended school in Minneapolis and graduated in 1962.

Patricia was united in marriage with Richard Lyddon at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa in 1992. Pat worked at Victor Manufacturing as a machine operator for most of her working career. She later was a housekeeper at the Montezuma Nursing and Rehab Center. Pat enjoyed her needle point work, calendars being her favorite to make. She also enjoyed going to numerous car shows with Richard to display their 1954 and 1960 Chevy pick-ups. Above all else, Pat cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and her cats.

She is survived by her husband Richard L. Lyddon of Montezuma; five children, Roger (Crystal) Lyddon of Montezuma, Dale (Jody) Lyddon of Las Vegas, NV, Darwin (Danielle) Lyddon of St. George, UT, Lyle Lyddon of Las Vegas, and Terena (Brent) Ruesch of Las Vegas; brother, Don (Mary) Layeux; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 2 cats, Skippy and Bootey; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Beth Layeux.
