Wallace Edward Tracy, son of Oliver Elsworth Tracy and Della May (Wright) Tracy was born August 16, 1925 in Winterset, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at 89 years of age.
Wallace received his education in Madison County Country Schools. He was united in marriage to Fern Deloris "De" Hope on August 20, 1944, and children; Dan, Jim, Deb and Sandy blessed this union.
Wallace was a dedicated farmer. So much so, that when asked about his favorite hobbies, farming was the unanimous answer. Thru the years, he also worked for Solar Aircraft, Dico, Delevan and was also the district man for Archer Oil for over 30 years. A position he was truly proud to hold.
He was a member of Osceola Eagles Lodge #3495 in Osceola and enjoyed playing cards and dancing. Perhaps his greatest enjoyment came from the time he spent with family and grandkids.
Those relatives who preceded Wallace in death were his parents; wife, De; daughter, Sandy Brown, brothers, Cleo Roy, George Tracy, Raymond Tracy, sisters, Edna Crom, Jesse Roy, Faye Acton, Fern Kirkpatrick, and Irene E. Smothers.
Wallace leaves to cherish his memory; sons, Dan (Sandy) Tracy of Truro, IA; Jim (Gloria) Tracy of Prole, IA; daughter, Deb (Elva) Sheets of Osceola, IA; son-in-law, Larry Brown of Afton, IA; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
