Native of Madison County Died Last Friday in Minnesota
Funeral services were held here Tuesday from the Anderson home for funerals for Mrs. Mary McDaniel, a native of this community, who died last Friday, March 19, at Fairmont, Minn.
Mrs. McDaniel was born in Madison county, January 13, 1874 and was 74 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Fred T. McDaniel Oct. 29, 1892 at Winterset. They moved to Elliott, N. Dak. While there they adopted four children.
They later moved to Sherburn, Minn., and then to Granada, Minn. where she had lived the last 23 years. Her husband died in 1941.
She was a member of the Methodist church and Eastern Star and Rebekah lodges.
Surviving are the four children, Mrs. Henry Wood, Mrs. Chester Skellenger and Floyd and Ralph McDaniel; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held here Tuesday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Howard Strong of the Winterset Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery northeast of Winterset.
