Mrs. Dooley
Mrs. Margaret Dooley, wife of M. J. Dooley, seventy-seven years of of age, of Des Moines formerly of Lee township, died at her home Monday, June 2. Mrs. Dooley, daughter of Allen Major, was born near where the present town of Martensdale stands. While a small child she moved with her parents to a farm In Lee township. There she was raised, married, and made her home until three years ago.
Her husband, M. J. Dooley, a Civil war veteran, is still living. She is also survived by eight children: Martin, Margaret, and Mrs. W. B. Dooley, of Des Moines; Mrs. Henry Bartels of Winner, South Dakota; Mrs. William Roach, Bert, Alice, and George, of Cummings.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. John's church, Cummings, and burial was at St. Patrick's cemetery.
