Kellogg - Elizabeth, wife of Miles Kellogg, departed this life March 10, 1892, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. M. J. Gordon, aged 70 years.
Elizabeth Smith was born in Butler county, Ohio, January 20th, 1822. Moved to Fountain county, Indiana, with her parents in 1828, and was married to Miles Kellogg July 3, 1845. With her husband she moved to Keokuk county, Iowa, the same year, and thence to Mahaska county, Iowa, 1846.
Mrs. Kellogg joined the M. E. church in 1853 and came to Madison county in May, 1855, where she has since resided. She was the mother of seven children, two of whom survive, and mourn the loss of a loving mother and an affectionate wife.
