Mrs. Eldora Addie McDowell died June 4, at 12:30 p.m. at the home of her father, Dr. A. C. Baldock.

Mrs. Eldora Addie McDowell, aged 27 years. Her health had been poor for four years, and some two and a half years ago she was taken with la grippe, which developed into consumption. During her whole illness she was a patient christian sufferer. She was born April 1st, 1865, in Metcalf county, Kentucky, and came with her parents to Iowa the following June. She was brought up in Winterset and Madison county, and became a member of the Methodist church at Patterson during the pastorate of Rev. Charles Stewart.

On September 29th, 1882, she was married to J. M. McDowell, and removed to Des Moines, where she has made her home ever since. Her husband and two daughters survive her, her two sons having died young. The funeral, which was held last Tuesday, was conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. H. Sen..ney, of Wesley chapel, East Des Moines. (burial was made in the Winterset cemetery)
