Oct. 1905Mrs. Catherine Clearwater Hull was born in Illinois in 1833 and died at the residence of Mrs. Van Hook, of Des Moines last Friday. Mrs. Hull was married at Knoxville, and with her husband moved to Winterset some forty years ago. Mr. Hull died about three years ago.
Three children, Minnie, Fred and W. B., are living and were present at the funeral.
Winterset has been the home of the Hulls ever since 1860 until a short time ago when Mrs. Hull become so feeble that she was no longer able to look after her home and she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Van Hook, in Des Moines.
The body was brought to Winterset on Saturday evening and was conveyed to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. Brownell, where the funeral occurred Sunday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Fred Berry.

Hull - Friday, Oct. 27 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Van Hook, 1325 School street, Mrs. Catherine J. Hull, widow of John Hull. Mrs. Hull was 72 years of age, and formerly lived in Winterset, where she had resided for over forty years. Her husband died at this latter place July 21 1901, and about eighteen months ago she came to live with her daughter, Mrs. M. S. Van Hook. She had been in failing health for several years, and recently she began failing rapidly until the end came peacefully and without a struggle.
Four children, Mrs. Van Hook of Des Moines, Harlan of Chicago, Fred of Kansas City and W. B. Hull of Winterset, survive her.
The body will be taken to Winterset this evening and funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, when the remains will be laid In the family plat In the cemetery there.
